On Thursday April 26, 2007, Malaysia welcomed its second youngest king to be sworn in under the five-year rotation system among the rulers of the nine Malay states and the first king to be born after the country's independence.Duli Yang Maha Mulia (DYMM) Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah is the 16th Sultan of the state of Terengganu, Malaysia, and the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, or King, of Malaysia. The 46 year old ruler of oil-rich Terengganu succeeded Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail of Perlis under this country’s unique monarchical system.
The King has with him a long scroll of achievement in his right which i do not wish to elaborate. But what i do want to touch on is the impact that he's making to our political scenario now. the Lady just wishes to acknowledge and salute the King for his courages and timely support for his people at this time of political fiesta. the Lady is proud to be amongst the reported 10,000 loyal subjects who displayed their yellow ribbon for our Rakyat's Hero on that phenomenon 29th March 2008. (some reports even mentioned that the number neared 40, 000!!May poeple power prevail with The King by us!now the rakyat can truly proclaim... DAULAT TUANKU!!! LONG LIVE THE KING!!!
